About Me

DSC_4449.jpg

My name is Rachel Vellutato and I am 24 years old with a B.S. in Industrial Design from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Originally, I am from Malvern, Pennsylvania.

I have had a strong interest in soft goods design since I was in high school. In high school, I completed a capstone mentorship program with URBN in Philadelphia, PA, where I gathered research about how a product goes from sketch to shelf. As well, I shadowed, got to take tours, sit in on meetings, and experience real world situations. From this, I knew my love for fashion and soft goods was it for me.

I continued my education as an Industrial Design major at James Madison University where I have gained knowledge and experience within Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign, as well as,          Browzwear V-stitcher 3D Modeling, Rhino 7 3D Modeling, Gravity Sketch, sewing, footwear design, graphic design, laser cutting, wood working, metal work, etc. I have learned how to create a product from start to finish, produce a graphic design presentation for it, and pitch my product to vendors.
